January 31st Blue Skies and Sunshine

It's already the last day of January. Time has flown by, and this week seemed to go by quick.

So good things today, other than the fact that it's Friday? It turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. Blue sky, brisk cold, sunshine. I will not complain. It was a pleasant surprise when I left work.

January 30th: The Man

Nothing big and exciting happened today. I worked, I blogged, I came home.

And that in itself is good enough for me. Came home to Clint and he had a delicious supper made for me. It's all I need. I don't have a picture of the meal, but I'm going to add one of my favourite pictures of the two of us. Basically the same kind of night as it was tonight in the picture. Hanging out, laughing and enjoying one another's company.

January 29 IDs and Tacos

Two things again today. First of all, I was having a grumpy day. The dark cloud was definitely hanging over my head today, so I was looking forward to doing my daily gratitude, and looking at the good things in my day.

I stopped at the liquor store on my way home, and picked up a bottle of wine for the week. (The rest of the week, I guess). As the cashier looked up at me, she asked the question I'm very used to. "Do you have some ID?" I handed it to her saying, "Sure do. 33." 
She laughed and said, "You should be doing a happy dance everyday!" She's right. As much as I don't feel like I'm 19-25, I certainly don't hate that I still look young. I plan to look this age forever. So far so good. Maybe it was the tuque?

And the next one is pretty easy to explain why it is a daily gratitude. It's in the title. We had tacos for supper. The meat cooked all day in the crockpot (driving Clint crazy with the delicious smell). They were wonderful. The picture is the 'making the taco' process. Lots of cheese is key!

January 28th Drinks and Comedy

Met up with a friend after work for drinks, appies and catching up. Was lovely as always.

And then came home and watched the hilarious Community with Clint.

January 27th -Questions and Starbucks

These are all going to be relatively short and sweet.

Two great things today: While I was in the kitchen at work a coworker asked how the editing was going on my novel. Here's why this one question made my day: I've never spoken to her about my novel before. I guess it was just nice knowing that what I write on Facebook or Twitter about my goal is getting noticed, and people are taking my novel writing seriously. I also told her and another coworker what my book was about. I was blushing while talking about it, but still told them. I used to be so shy about the fact that I wanted to be a writer, and wanted to write a book. Now, I want people to know. The more interest in it, the better.

The second is slightly easier. Clint had my car today, so he picked me up from work with a Starbucks. I did ask him if he could pick one up for me, but that's not the point. I didn't have to wait in the cold, or walk to my car and warm it up, and I wouldn't have stopped for a Starbucks. It was a nice end to my work day.

Daily Gratitude Introduction

There isn't really a lot to explain. I have a blog all about writing, I also have one about serious moments in my life, some of which are sad. I want to focus on the good things that happen to me because that's what life is. Moments of happiness and gratitude. I guess I just don't want to do everything in one blog.

I hope to write or post a picture once a day. I'm not making any promises because sometimes life gets in the way. I like enjoying the good things in life, and plan to share them. From little gratitude's/inspirations, to big and wonderful life changing moments. I once saw something about taking a picture each day of life. I want to do that with the blog. It will most likely be cell phone pictures, but a picture is a picture. I'll go between writing and pictures most likely.

This blog may not be for anybody but me, but I'm still going to do it. It's easier to post pictures, than to do a journal and print pictures for that. (I'm lazy).

And here's a picture of a wine bottle. The wine is good as well, but I really liked the label. Pretty much what I'm trying to say here.
