#100happydays The start of a busy week

Day 84
Monday, Sept 29 (for yesterday)

I'm running out of time to do everything, but because I know I may not be blogging a lot from the 4th until the 19th, I'm trying to keep up with this blog at least before I go on my trip. I may still be blogging some days while I'm gone. I'll keep up the #100happydays on Instagram for sure.

So yesterday was day one of things every night of this week. Good thing I packed on the weekend.

 happy moments for me.

I went to visit my cousin and got my nails done! They're pretty! Cherry blossoms.

More to come this week. Happy Monday (even though it's now Tuesday).

#100happydays Silly Sundays

Day 83
Sunday, September 29, 2014

Why silly, you ask?

Well, I woke up after a REALLY TERRIBLE sleep, with no ambition to do anything. Although, I knew I had to leave the house for some groceries. (I was out of cheese, and close to being out of toilet paper. Both essentials).

I forced myself out of the house, and was back before noon. Instead of staying in my boring 'real life' clothes, I decided to truly make it the most comfortable Sunday ever. The temperature dropped, and my house was chilly. There was really only one way to make it better:

Footsie PJs - too warm to sleep in, but perfect to laze around in. I did more house cleaning, cooking, and packed, all in the comfort of my Onesie.

I ALSO relaxed. My friend has me addicted to the show Pretty Little Liars. (I like to blame her, but in reality, she told me she was hooked, so I decided I better join in on the fun). High school romance is addicting. Oh the DRAMA. Seriously though, I can't stop watching it.

I made chicken tacos. They were delicious. The only thing missing was Clint. Taco night is our thing, and it's not as much fun without him.

I used my 'Sleepy Time' tea because I didn't want another night of not being able to go to sleep. It half worked. I think I'm getting excited for our trip. It's keeping me awake.

So... only partially silly. Also lazy and productive all at the same time. Can't get any better than that.

#100happydays 82 Massages and cleaning

Saturday, September 27

I slept in today, got up, had a nice bath, drank some coffee, and made myself a delicious breakfast.

It doesn't look as great as it tasted.

I also started cleaning my house, and did a WHOLE bunch of laundry. I can't wait to crawl into my freshly made bed tonight. I want the house to be clean when we get back from Ontario. I have a week to do it, but want to get it clean this weekend.
Just FYI, hair spray works to get out ink on tables. Thanks Mom for telling me! My crock pot freezer bags labels ended up with the ink everywhere.

One room done!

I also had a groupon for a hot stone massage today. (Conveniently a five minute walk away.) It was my first hot stone massage ever, and I can't really say a lot about it right now because I was feeling sick while she was doing it. It wasn't what I expected though. It was quite relaxing, and if I had been feeling better, it would have been great.

Anyway, I have more cleaning to do, but other than finishing the laundry and making the bed, I don't think I'm going to get a lot accomplished tonight. I feel like I'm getting a stomach flu. I had been feeling a tiny bit like throwing up since before my massage. Looks like the headache I've had lead to the flu. Wish me luck because I hate this particular sickness the most.

Anyway, focusing on the good: I got a lot accomplished today, and did enjoy the hot stone massage. Now, I'll just hang out and watch movies until I feel better. Hopefully, tomorrow I get the rest of my stuff done. I have to pack as well! (Which makes putting away the laundry WAY easier.)

Have a good weekend!

#100happydays Thursday and Friday

Days 80 and 81 September 25-26

I'm doing two in one because I didn't have time to post yesterday. Or feel like it.

Thursday:

I'll do a little #tbt first. This is K and I from earlier this year. (I want to say around May). We like to hang out, drink wine, and watch sappy television shows. Usually about teenagers.  She was away this summer, and I missed her like crazy!

So yesterday, I finally got to hang out with her. (We have hung out since she got back, but not nearly enough.) We hung out with her kids, (her adorable book loving boys), had some wine, caught up on life, laughed, and drank some wine. (Pictured below). I love her!

Friday:

This one is easy. It's only 9, but I had my gratitude sorted out before 8am.

There is a guy who rides his bike across the bridge. Sometimes we cross at the same time. Looks like he's heading to work as well, but in the opposite direction. Anyway, he says, "Good Morning" to everybody he passes. It's so nice! Something about that little gesture of kindness makes me really happy. I sometimes feel like people are too jaded and sometimes not all that nice. It's good to be surprised. That makes ME jaded, doesn't it?

No pictures for Friday. The fact that it is Friday is good enough for me. I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow. I've had something on for the last three weekend in a row (at least), so I'm pretty excited to have a sleep in tomorrow, and not have a lot to do. (Other than massive amounts of house work).

Happy Friday!

#100happydays 79 Wonderful Wednesdays

Wednesday September 24, 2014

Some great things about today.

It's half way through the week.

It's 10 days until Clint and I drive to Ontario.

I have a hot-stone massage booked for Saturday.

Also, I'm cleaning my house this weekend, and I'm ridiculously excited about that.

AND I'm sending my next query out on Monday to another publisher.

As for today:

Early morning quarter selfie with my polka dotted sunnies!

So many leaves have already fallen, but the ones that are on the trees are still gorgeous!

LOTS AND LOTS OF BEAUTIFUL TREES.

Bubble Tea. It's been TOO LONG.

Caught the last 15 minutes of Survivor. The gal I got in the pool had ONE vote against her. But stays in the game!
I always end up reading two books at once. I saw the trailer for Gone Girl and decided I better read the book first. about the author is my lunchtime book.

This is the only show I'm willing to watch now that we have cable. I watch enough on Netflix, I don't need anymore shows... except for Nashville. This one, I will watch.

Just a little snack. The commercials tell me nutella is healthy...

#100happydays Day 78 First Day of Autumn

September 23, 2014

The headache I mentioned yesterday is still here. I'm not sure how best to get rid of it, but hopefully it'll be gone soon.

On to the good stuff, it's officially the first day of Autumn, and I know I've already shared some pictures of Fall, but since it's official, I guess I better share more.

First day of Fall, and beautiful enough for a dress. Hot out actually.

Also, this mini cupcake. Coconut vanilla. SO GOOD.

#100happydays A Love Filled Weekend (and Monday)

Days 75-76 September 20-21 Saturday and Sunday

My Saturday started with sleeping in and having coffee and breakfast with Clint. I actually really enjoy making weekend breakfasts.

My morning also included a tea delivery. Annie brought it over. She has a great blog as well. About books and life. Right here. I'm so happy with all of it!

Then we went to a wonderful wedding.  This was the wedding for the Stagette I went to on Thursday. Happy Stagette Post Here.

It was a great wedding. My friend (and ex-roommate) Crystal found the man of her dreams, and they had a wonderful wedding to celebrate their love.

The most handsome and loving date ever!

Bag pipes!

The very happy bride!

How awesome is this cake!?

I love us.

A box of tarts! These were what Clint and I pulled out. We're partners forever. Forever. (It almost sounds like a threat).

A picture of the bride and I. Laughing at something. It was probably hilarious.

And... because I don't want to do two posts today:

Monday September 22nd, 2014. Day 77

Had lunch with some coworkers. I don't have a picture, but it was great. A man sang to us on our way back to work.

I am participating in a Survivor pool. I drew the 20 year old cheerleader for the win. I haven't watched in years, but it looks like I have to start again.

And I made homemade creamer for my coffee. Almond, coconut, mocha coffee creamer. Life is pretty darn great!

In not so great news, I've had a headache since Thursday. It goes away with advil, but keeps roaring back! Not such a fan. I missed a baby shower yesterday because of it. Totally sad! And Clint has gone back to work for 11 days... BUT he'll be back and when he's back, we will be heading to Ontario!!!

#100happydays Day 74 Peaceful and Calming Autumn

Friday September 19

First of all, Happy Friday.

I took a lot of pictures of trees today. Cause that's what I do when Fall hits.

Autumn Love -I love everything about it. The weather, the trees, the leaves, the colours. I find it to be incredibly peaceful.

And, Clint is here for the weekend, so as always, grateful to have him in my life.

#100happydays Day 73 Thursday Stagettes and some #tbt!

Thursday, Sept 18 (I'm a day late, but it's for September 18th)

For some Throwback Thursday (to explain the rest). This is a picture of my friend, Crystal, and I. We were roommates for a couple of years. These two pictures were taken Fall of 2011. We were having fun after raking A MILLION leaves!

Now, a few years later, she is getting married. (On Saturday). Her stagette was Thursday, and it was a blast. So glad to be friends with her! I'll just share a bit from the night. I left a tad early because I had to work the next day, and was having too much fun! (In other words, I would have NOT been feeling good today for work if I had stayed).

Cheers to the bride!

We left our mark EVERYWHERE!

This drink: Delicious.

I had a wonderful night. I can't wait to celebrate her marriage!

#100happydays Day 72 Always a good day, right?

Wednesday, September 17

Just your average day. My favourite kind. PLUS Clint gets home tomorrow!

The theme today is fall. It kind of was yesterday as well.

Fall colours.

Fall soups. (Love my crockpot)

This one has nothing to do with Fall. It's a peanut butter cupcake. My sister made them for me. I know... not a diet food. No regrets.

#100happydays Day 71 MORE SUNSHINE!

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Just a couple of fabulous things today. SUNSHINE AND BEAUTIFUL COLOURS!!!

It's all I need, really.

Also this is a little tiny thing, but I love the fact that I have my car. The freedom to go places is wonderful - especially when you consider I've lived without a car more than once. HOWEVER, I also love the fact that I can walk most places, and don't HAVE to drive.

I also love living close to a grocery store! (and the weather to walk there).

New shirt. Love it.

Last, I had a glass of my Newfoundland Shiraz (From Auk Island Winery). So good! Good thing  C is home on Thursday. I can save him some of it!

Happy Tuesday everyone!
