#100happydays Day 53 Countdowns

Aug 29

I love countdowns:

6 days till Clint gets back. (We will celebrate my birthday that weekend).

13 days till by birthday. (I've decided to turn 29 for the 5th year).

15 days until I have a girl's birthday weekend with Mom and my sister.

22 days till a friend's wedding.

23 days until Robbie's 'Welcome to the world' shower

And finally, 36 days until Clint and I go on an Ontario roadtrip.

I'm trying to enjoy every day of my life, and not hurry things, but I've got so much happiness coming up!

So to not waste a great day on countdowns. First - it is Friday, and I had another great lunch in my favourite spot.

Second, it's been another lovely day outside.

Third, I had drinks and deep fried pickles with a friend.

Fourth, I could see some fireworks over a building. (I should have walked down for the Fireworks fest, but I had a blog to do  - not this one.)

#100happydays 52 Sunshine

August 29

Just a regular day. Those are good too though.

I've started eating oatmeal at work for breakfast. Delicious.

I always see this at lunch. It's been there for AT LEAST three years. I'm a bit leery.  A building would block the view...

Hot lunchtime walk.

The clouds were beautiful.

Uh oh. Fall is coming. It makes me sad, but also, I love it. I love the colours, and I love the brisk feel of fall.

#100happydays Day 51 Fall Drinks in summer

Aug 27

Where to begin? These aren't in order, but this was my day in a nutshell.

This pop that tastes like a creamsicle.

Always making me happy.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte. It's love.

I do not know who the owner of this coat is, but they're awesome.

#100happydays Day 50 More baby love

Aug 26

Finally caught up!

Worked today, caught up on my blogs (almost caught up), and FINALLY got over to see Alexis so I could give her the frozen crock pot meals.

I got to cuddle Robbie.

 Love this baby!

Then I came home, and had a delicious homemade meal.

I miss Clint, but baby cuddles, work, and friends help.

#100happydays Day 45-49 (catch up day)

Aug 26

Ack! I'm really behind on both blogs, and don't have a lot of time to catch up. This is for Aug 21-25. I'll do one for today later.

For Thursday, August 21st:

I was waiting patiently for 4:30 to come because Clint got back from work that night. I took Friday off so 4:30 was the start of my weekend.

I had my yearly dose of fast food. Every dollar of teen burgers go towards MS funds, so it seemed like a good time.

Supper out with the love of my life when he got home.

NEW BED!

Friday, August 22

Clint and I got up early to get ready for camping. Picked up the last minute stuff, and stopped for breakfast. We were on our way by 1, which was perfect timing.

I don't have a picture, but this is what made my day (and week)A sales guy at Cabela's came up to us to see if we needed help. When we said we were okay, he responded with: "You can just tell what great humour you two have together. I could see it from far away. It's your eyes." Ahhh! He sees what I see!

And a little of our first camping day:
 Newfoundland wine.

Exploring

And a couple of selfies. Clint bought me a hoodie to help me with my fishing. Plus, that's my camping hat.

Saturday, August 23rd:

More camping fun. We went fishing and exploring. I showed him the beach and cabin that belonged to my aunt when I was growing up. We tried to stay warm at the campsite. We ate delicious food.

Sunday, August 24th

We got up and made breakfast in the rain, and packed up in the rain, and drove home in the rain. Still happy and in love. Rain doesn't stop us. We got home and napped in our new bed, and relaxed.

Monday, August 25th

A random shout out to my parents. Not that random, I guess. My dad was in the hospital on Sunday, and is hopefully getting released today. He's okay, but it's scary to have him anywhere near a hospital. So my gratitude is that I have two of the greatest role models in my life. I will be grateful everyday for them.

As I said, it is Tuesday, but I'm not doing that one till later. So, basically I'm caught up.

#100happydays Day 44 Whining for Wine!

Aug 20 (Yesterday)

Once again, I'm late at posting, and once again, yesterday, I was a little mopey. Even though, I don't think it's appropriate, I'm just going to come out and say it. I was PMSy. I had cramps, my back hurt, I was tired, and all I wanted to do was crawl into bed (for the second day in a row).

I'm broke until payday (Summer has really been a money spending event), so I decided to treat myself by using my Starbucks card. I refill it, and luckily, had refilled it enough so I could get myself a white chocolate latte. Practically a free coffee.
Things started to look better after that.

After work, I went to put the yeast in the wine we are having made. That was also a bonus. In 5 weeks, we're going to have wine!!

I took a picture of myself pouring it. The lady at Wine Kitz laughed.

I also moved a mattress and box spring from one room to the other, so we'd be already to go get the new bed when Clint got home.
I was practically super woman. To be clear, I wasn't actually moving it at the time the picture was taken. I took it to send to Clint. I think moving beds while taking pictures probably doesn't work out for the most part... but it's done!

That was my day. Started out grumpy, ended up with me sleeping in a different room, with dreams of C coming home today, and WINE being done in five weeks. I missed out on going to visit a friend who was camping, and that stinks, but I wouldn't have gotten anything done if I had gone, and probably would have been terrible company.

This morning (Thursday, Aug 21st), I woke up with no aches or pains, so that is pretty good gratitude as well!

Oh - and head's up. I will be doing 100 Happy Days picture update on Instagram, BUT I won't be blogging again until at least Sunday. I'm going camping, and plan to not bother with any social media other than keeping up with the Happy Days. One picture a day is all I'm willing to do until Sunday.

Have a great weekend! Mine starts a day early at 4:30 this afternoon.

#100happydays Day 43 Writing Contest

For Yesterday: August 20, 2014

I'm late in posting. I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I didn't blog at all. I went home, had a bath, got into bed, and watched Netflix. I was asleep by 9:30.

I found a 3-day novel writing competition. http://www.3daynovel.com/

I'm still considering it, but I think I'm going to try it out. It's supposed to be done over the Labour Day weekend, and because I don't have plans that weekend, I think I might be ready for the challenge.

It also might help me focus more on just my writing.

I just need an idea. I need a new one. I'm allowed to work on an outline (which I never do) before hand. I think that's the best idea.

Anyway, short and simple today (for yesterday).

#100happydays Day 42 I'M AN AUNTIE! (non-related Aunt)...

Aug 18

I got to meet a new baby today. It's his birth day today. I held him and cuddled for about an hour, and we definitely hit it off!

He has lots of hair and is already stubborn just like his Mom! Love him!

Also, I've had a camera for a while, and I haven't used it a lot yet. Cameron's parents gave me his old camera, (an old, and good camera). I hadn't spent a lot of time with it, but started taking some pictures tonight. (Not the baby pics, those were taken with my Nexus 4 (phone).

Here's what I took tonight with my new to me camera.

#100happydays Day 41 Memories and Decluttering

August 17

Well - I got the food done yesterday, and today spent most of the day going through boxes to clean out the spare bedroom/office.

This was the start... What I had to deal with. (Still no place for Luke).

Here are some of the memories I decided to keep.

A singing bear from when I was a baby, Dumbo from my trip to Disney Land, and a frog from my friend, Nehal.

When I was 17, I went across the country to travel (in a group called Katimavik). My friend, Denise made me Homesick notes to read, and to give me a laugh if I was sad. I kept them all until today. I'm still keeping some of them.

Sweet note from my friend, Sus. I met her in Korea.

A Christmas card from James.

A ring from Clint. (notice the finger... not an engagement ring.) It's actually a ring his dad gave him, and he doesn't wear, so he asked if I want to wear it. Also, I'd like to point out that his stuff is mixed in as well.

My besties.

Katimavik memories.

Look how much I did:

That doesn't mean I'm done, it just means everything is moved around... I'm still working on it.

I did a lot today, and got rid of a lot of cards and letters that I don't need to keep (I kept a lot as well). It was fun and exhausting. I had a lot of letters from people I don't talk to anymore (and a few from people I don't actually remember who they are).

Also - I made a delicious breakfast. Eggs, Avocado, and sausage Benedict. I'm not very good at making eggs 'over easy', and finally, I made them successfully.

It's been a very successful weekend! Next weekend, camping!
