Monday to Wednesday

October 29, 2014

While a 'Daily Gratitude' Blog is a fantastic way to make me find the good things everyday, this week, I haven't wanted to blog every day. I'm going into NaNoWriMo on November 1st. Basically, that's writing a novel in 30 days - or 50,000 words at least. So I'm not going to have time to post EVERY DAY.

So here's what I propose for myself: I'll still have a great thing per day, but I'll bulk it all together. Much better process if you ask me.

I did last week and weekend, and my vacation in separate posts, so I'm back on track.

Monday, October 27

I cleaned off my desk to prep for NaNoWriMo. (The cleaning of the desk was the prep.) It was a disaster. Now I have to clean off the areas that I moved all the stuff too. Also, while cleaning off the desk, I started my stocking stuffer bags. I'm trying to get a jump on things.

Tuesday, October 28:

It was snowing on my walk to work. Didn't stay, but was less wet than the snow the day before (the rain/snow).

Halloween Prep.

And, I did math. Important math. To finish a book in 30 days means I have to do 6 pages a day. If that doesn't sound like a lot, just imagine if I miss a day. Then it'll be 12 a day. Yikes. I'm hoping to do 6 a day Monday through Friday, and 12 each Saturday and Sunday so I can keep ahead.

Wednesday October 29
You know it's going to be a good day when both #amwriting AND #nationalcatday are trending on Twitter.

I found shoes at work in a drawer. All mine. (Not the sneakers, I wear those ugly things when I walk to work). I forgot I had so many at work.

After a sleep with not a lot of sleep, I needed a coffee. Local Coffee Bar wins again!

I got a thank you card and picture in the mail. Awesome!

I signed a 'contract' for myself saying I'd finish a book in a month. Yikes. And, below... working on prep tonight.

What's up lately?

October 27, 2014

It's time to deal with my current happiness. (Or the past week).

Here are somethings that I'm grateful for last week.

The Sunday after our return (the next day) involved me doing one thing. Making breakfast for us. Blueberry/chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. Then we relaxed.

First Monday back to work after two weeks. There was only one solution. Starbucks.

We made wine! 30 Bottles!

I missed Jo's birthday. Somehow, at the end of October, we were lucky enough to celebrate a late birthday celebration on a patio. It was that nice out! Lucky us!

I left my house to see this one day last week. Seriously? GREAT start to the day.

On the same day, the station had a huge fluffy bear visit, and a cute and cuddly baby!

Two things that made me happy on my walk to work on Friday.

The sky was gorgeous on Saturday.

Sunday Team work. He rakes, I jump in. (And then I bag the leaves).

Also - I had a great sleep last night. Clint even commented on the fact that he knew I had because he had one too. No tossing and turning girlfriend to keep him up.

#100happydays Finale (Part 4). Seriously, the finale...

October 26

I finished the 100 happy days with no problem. I wasn't really worried I wouldn't do it, but I'm still glad I did it. All in all, it's pretty easy to find something that makes me happy every day. Even if it's a bad day, a nice word from a friend or stranger, a cup of coffee, a text from Clint... it will turn my day around. Finding the little things to appreciate, make the big things all the better.

To finish my 100 Happy Days challenge, I'm going to post the photos and comments that I put on Instagram. I'm mostly doing this for me. I can't remember half of them, and would like it all in one place. I am going to do 25 per post though because 100 photos is TOO many.

September 21st

Day 76: My weekend with my forever partner. #thisislove

Day 77: Finally made some homemade coffee creamer. Coconut, almond, mocha creamer. Not really low in calories, but cheaper (and healthier) than Starbucks.

Day 78: First day of Autumn and still beautiful weather. #yxe

Day 79: Somebody asked what Bubble Tea was today. I took it upon myself to buy a coconut peach bubble tea at lunch to show them. That or I couldn't stop thinking about how much I wanted one. #delicious.

Day 80: Wine with one of my best friends.

Day 81: TGIF

Day 82: Hot Stone Massage. First time getting one.

Day 83: Got my errands done this morning, came home and got comfy for the rest of my day.

Day 84: Pretty nails for my trip. #cherryblossoms. And a great time to catch up with the nail artist (my cousin).

Day 85: My lunch is pretty. Forgot lunch at home so stopped at The Local Coffee Bar. So happy I did. #healthy

Day 86: #kidsatheart Walking with the Dinosaurs!

Day 87: #tbt November 2013. The last Ontario trip! So excited to go back!

Day 88: I'M DONE WORK FOR TWO WEEKS! DESK CLEANED OFF AND I'M OUT!

Day 89: Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario all in one day. Just got to our hotel in Thunder Bay. Really looking forward to sleeping.

Day 90: I pretty much love this province. Made it to Wawa for the night.

Day 91: 10 hour drive to visit Clint's sister. This is what she had ready. I love her already!

Day 92: Selfie with a goat? Yep. Done. Also, I milked one.

Day 93: Meeting Jordan. He took a selfie.

Day 94: 9 years later, I get to hang out with this girl!

Day 95: Made it to Clint's parents outside of Apsley, Ontario. So many trees! Smells so great!

Day 96: Happy birthday to my favourite sister. Wish I was there to celebrate. She's one of my best friends. Smart, independent, gorgeous, and awesome. (SIDE NOTE, THIS WAS TAKEN JUNE 2014 IN NEWFOUNDLAND).

Day 97: Thanksgivings. As always, I'm thankful everyday. More specifically, I'm thankful for the love and support I get from Clint, our family, and friends. Thankful for this trip and for having a job I can take time off for trips. I'm grateful that I can spend time seeing the beauty that Ontario has to offer.

Day 98: More thanksgivings. Cuddly puppies (also a good armrest), surrounded by nature, delicious turkey supper, and family time. Also, finally met Clint's sister, Katie. (Not in the picture.)

Day 99: Got to visit with Clint's grandfather today. Grateful to hang out with grandparents. Also enjoyed the third degree Clint got about babies and rings. Haha.

Day 100: Last day of my 100 days of happy, but it will continue. #gratitudeeverydamnday The most important thing for me to remember is it is the little things that make me happy. Like coffee with family, friends, and loved ones. I'll continue my gratitude blog (when I get home). Gratitude helps me survive when things get tough, and once I learned that, 100 Happy Days was a breeze. I'm incredibly happy to have the life I do.

And that's my 100 happy days. To be honest, I'm glad I'm done it. I can continue this blog without the pressure of not forgetting to update. I am grateful and I am happy.
