#tbt Love since 2012

November 27th, 2014

In another Thursday post from the past, I am sharing the first picture ever taken of Clint and I. This was taken when we first started dating. It was May or June of 2012. I was a very mature 31 year old, and while at a concert with my friend, I asked her to try to sneak some pictures in of the Clint and I. It's weird right? I'm a selfie queen, and love taking pictures of us now. I was quite cautious when we first started dating and a little shy.

This was our first picture together. And I love it.

We were just beginning our story, and I'm glad to say it's still an awesome story with lots of pictures!

(I'm feeling EXTRA romantic and lovey lately.)

November 17-23

It's been yet another week. I'm really feeling grateful today for the life I have.

Monday November 17th
Clint made me breakfast. I usually eat when I get to work, but this was a great way to start the morning.

COMING SOON!!!!!

46 thousand words. Almost at 50k!

Tuesday November 18th and Wednesday November 19th
This is the only photo on my phone from those days. Healthy. Also, I wrote. Actually, I finished my 50k. I didn't get to submit it until Thursday. I was sure I took more photos than this, but oh well. The important thing is I finished my words, and kept writing.

Oh! Found this one:

Thursday November 20th
Came home to supper made by Clint.

And... self explanatory.

Friday November 21st
Clint and I drove to Plenty. This was our view on the way there. Gorgeous. It was a cloudy and gloomy day, so this was a nice change.

I finally watched Frozen. Loved it.

Saturday November 22nd

I spent the day hanging out with my mom while Clint and my dad went hunting. It was nice and relaxing. We went to the Plenty Bar for supper (only place to eat in town). It was delicious! We had a double date with Mom and Dad, and had a great time.

Sunday November 23rd

I was looking for a specific picture in my mom's photo albums. Instead, I found tons that I loved. Memory lane is pretty great. Clint went hunting with Dad again, and I spent quality time with Mom. Also, IF I ever get married, I've found my dress. It may happen or it may not, but I know what I'll wear. I don't care if I look silly writing this (because I haven't been asked), I tried on my Grandma's dress, and I loved it. It would need a few changes, but it's pretty great. No pictures though. That would be pushing my luck. Haha.

My aunt and I

Grandpa Burton and I.

Jodi and I. I like the pants.

Loved winter from the start!

And we headed home. Was an absolutely wonderful trip. The only thing missing was my sister. Next time. I love my parents, and I love that Clint is also a fan.

#tbt Winter Gratitude

Thursday, November 20

I'll do my week update on Saturday or Sunday, but I thought I'd do a quick throwback post for Thursday.

It's important to remember the past with a smile.

Winter is hard on everybody. It gets to me after it's been going on for months. It's hard to take, we need sun, and it's usually cold.

Even with all the negatives, I think snow is gorgeous. Here are some pictures of past winters.

These two are of both winter and my favourite house in Saskatchewan. It's not been painted recently, but is still pretty great. I think this was 2011.

2011, after the pictures above were taken.

2012 in Plenty.

2012

It might be cold, and annoying to drive in, but it sure is pretty. And let's face it: it's life. I live in a province full of snow for half (if not more than half) of the year. Better to focus on the good. (I  also own one of those fake sunshine lamps to help with any winter blues.)

I'll be back with the present day gratitude on the weekend.

Happy winter, all.

A week of writing, a week of gratitude

Monday November 10 to November 16th

My life has been about writing. Writing writing and writing.

Monday:

We had one day of work, and then had November 11th (Remembrance Day) off.

I got a card from somebody I had written for during the summer. It's not often my job ends up with thank yous. I know I'm appreciated, but I still don't usually get things like this. It was nice. It made my day.

I also got half way done my NaNoWriMo 50,000 goal. It was a pretty great feeling as well. This was my lunch time writing.

Friends over in the evening for food, wine and games. Also, Denise bought me my first flask from Las Vegas. Pink and sparkly!

Tuesday:
Lest we forget.

Wednesday and Thursday:
Work and writing. I think I can be completely grateful that my life allows me to work, and then also follow my passion. Writing is not a chore, even though sometimes I think about it that way. (I shouldn't).

Friday:
Mailed a letter to a dear friend who just turned 35. I also spoke to her and sang (badly) to her on the 12th. (Her actual birthday was the 12th -I'm not quite on time sending this card).

Lunch Writing

By the end of the day, I was exhausted. It's been a ridiculous week of writing and working, and I was lacking sleep. I got into my PJs, let Clint make me supper, and we relaxed and watched movies. No writing.

Saturday:
We did errands in the morning. I also stopped and got my silent auction winnings. A, signed by Kim Coates, Sons of Anarchy hat, and Shakespeare tickets for the summer. From Creative Mayhem, for Creative Kids.

Then it was writing time. This picture is on my desk, taped to it. It's my inspiration. He inspires me.

I fixed something with this. Clint kept asking if I needed a 'real' screw driver. I didn't. He's a non believer.

And I made homemade (kind of) Gluten Free Pizza for supper. It was pretty good.

Sunday:

This was taken shortly after midnight, so by Sunday early early, I had made my Saturday goal of 40,000 words. Shortly after this, I fell asleep.

Made us gluten free blueberry pancakes and bacon (slightly crispy) this morning.

The rest of the day will include writing, coffee, wine, onesie wearing, and crock pot soup making.

Life's pretty great, isn't it?
